The Veil of Paroketh *“Lord of the Paths in the Portal of the Vault of the Adepts”
- the Word of the Veil of the Temple, before the Holy of Holies
- the Veil of the Four Elements of the Body of Man.
- In the Bible, the Veil of Paroketh denotes the division between the Holy and Most Holy Place in the sanctuary.
- also called the Veil of Illusion because everything "below" the Veil is an illusion.3
- ”The first mile marker is the piercing of the veil of Paroketh - this can accomplished by practicing the LBRP and the Middle Pillar daily. The change in consciousness that occurs when this happens is the result of first beginning to perceive the astral or energetic realm of reality. The practitioner suddenly knows through first hand experience that there is much more to the world than they have been taught by the traditional education system, society, or religion. *This first glimpse is often jarring to the psyche, as there is a vast difference in something like believing or hoping that there is more, versus actually having direct contact. This jarring epiphany is what you hear referred to in magick as “the dweller at the threshold” or the “guardian at the threshold.” This guardian or dweller is said to be a spectral image that manifests itself to the mage as they pierce the veil of Paroketh. It is a test of the initiates resolve. If passed, the mage is allowed access to higher levels of knowledge, or ascend farther up the tree, from Malkuth to Yesod.”
