NAP: Non-Agression Principle
It is morally wrong, a violation of natural law and universal objective morality, to aggress against another.
This is the foundation of anarchist and libertarian philosophy.
Morality and Right-Action are simple and obvious - to not aggress or commit violence against any other being.
“No individual or group of individuals has the right to initiate violence and coercion against other human beings who are not aggressing against them.”
self defense
Self-protection through use of force
- Force used in self-defense is not violence
- Can be equal to the amount of violence used against you - if they are threatening your life, you are within your right to end theirs if you are not able to safely subdue them.
