We can see a Jesus who dies, is resurrected, ascends to his Origin, and sits on his Father's throne to await the Day of Judgment. We can also see how Jesus is later followed by the rapture of the Holy Mother and the Bride in more mystical Christianity. The Golden Legend points to other possibilities where Mary Magdalene and her family, relatives and the Holy Grail travel to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. On the boat across the Mediterranean is Maximinus the Great, who, together with Mary Magdalene, spreads the message of the Church of Love. It is in Maximinus' arms that she later dies and is raptured. In France, there are also traditions that describe the tomb of Jesus in the golden landscape of the Languedoc. The old covenant and the temple of Solomon dedicated to Sophia, or wisdom, are transmuted on French soil into the Church of Love. During the Middle Ages, the tradition flourished through the Knights Templar, the Cathars, the troubadours and Grail mysticism. We see a new era of Gothic temples dedicated to Sophia – Notre Dame.
